Hello Youth Group members,

This is to remind you once again that the Youth Committee will recognize your volunteer hours at our temple ONLY if

  1. You are officially registered in the Volunteer Management System (VMS)
  2. You have reserved a spot for yourself for a specific event on a given date and time in the VMS (you will receive an automatic confirmation from the VMS once you successfully reserve a spot)
  3. You have checked in and checked out against your reserved spot and were physically present at the temple for the entire time

Please note that you are solely responsible for your own check in and check out using the VMS.

Please note that the VMS will be the single source of truth for:

  1. PVSA
  2. Certificate(s) to be issued to your school or college
  • For PVSA, we will consider hours from July 1st through June 30th as the time window.
  • For certificate(s) to be issued to your school or college, please note that we will issue a certificate once a minimum of 25 hours of service have been accumulated by you, AND we need at least 2 weeks of advance notice, and can only go back a maximum of one calendar year to recognize the hours.

You can check your service hours in the profile section against your name.

Please note the following for PVSA:

  • Service hours must have been executed in the HTCS community and served within a 12-month time period (July 1st – June 30th)
  • Volunteer activities and hours should be pre-approved, verified and signed off by the Chairperson (or a designated person) of the committee where the volunteer activities took place
  • Volunteering can be in any area of HTCS, with the following exceptions as stated in the PVSA rules: “religious instructions, conducting worship service, proselytizing”
